losing weight fastIf you’re looking for some great information for losing weight fast then this article is for you! What I am going to do is give you a list of the top 10 tips for losing weight in the quickest time possible.

There are no miracle cures for losing weight so these are all real world pieces of advice that will require your effort and that you can start using today in your battle against the bulge.

So avoid wasting any more time and put these top 10 tips for losing weight fast to work for you today.
>>Get the Secret Weapon for Fast Weight Loss!
1. Keep Your Calories Above 1,200

First off, this is the cardinal rule of weight loss. And believe it or not this is the biggest mistake that people make when in the process of losing weight. Most people don’t realize that you’re calories can actually be too low.

If you’re under the impression that it’s all about calories in and calories out then there’s a lot that you need to learn about the way the body burns fat.

Believe me, if that’s how worked than the weight loss mystery would’ve been solved a long time ago and it would look something like this:

Simply burn off more calories every day then you’re taking in.

Really, if it was that easy obesity would never be an epidemic and everybody would pretty much eat whatever they wanted as long as they went to the gym and hit an hour of cardio every day.

It just doesn’t work that way. Once your calories get too low, or specifically below 1000 cal per day, your body goes into starvation mode.

When in starvation mode, the body starts to hold on to fat tissue to protect the vital organs. It’s basically a survival tactic that the body uses in times of severe depletion.

So when your calories are too low your body will tap into muscle tissue for energy, not fat stores.

So following the simple rule that can save you years of struggle and help you to lose weight quicker than ever.
2. Follow a Low Glycemic Index Diet

Glycemic index is a measure of how fast a carbohydrate converts to sugar and is absorbed into the bloodstream.

So, higher glycemic index carbohydrates cause a rapid rise in blood sugar which leads to a massive release of insulin and then a conversion of that sugar into body fat.

So the name of the game is to take in carbohydrates that have a low glycemic index and are absorbed slowly into the body.
Here are some examples of low G.I. carbohydrates.

Fruits:

cherries

grapefruit

apricots

apples

peaches

pears

plums

strawberries

Vegetables:

broccoli

cabbage

lettuce

mushrooms

onions

peppers

Dairy:

yogurt

milk

Breads:

pumpernickel

stone-ground whole wheat

sourdough

whole meal rye

Starches:

yams

sweet potato

Cereals:

oatmeal

All-Bran

Muesli

Bran Buds

3. Pass on the Alcohol

On this one I’m going to be blunt and get straight to the point. If you’re into losing weight fast then passing on the alcohol is a must. In essence alcohol is nothing but empty calories in the form of sugars that do absolutely nothing but help you to gain the worst type of fat possible: belly fat.

Do you know what belly fat is?

Take a look at anybody who has a beer belly. It’s that nasty fat that sits in your belly in between your organs and makes a man look like he’s pregnant.

Not only that, but alcohol also helps to deplete your body of the necessary nutrients that it needs for proper sustenance.

And the damage it does to your liver is nothing to joke around about.
4. Increase Your Water Intake

We all know that water is the essence of life. It not only helps to hydrate the body but also helps to flush out nasty toxins and chemicals and also purify the kidneys.

The common rule of thumb is to drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water per day which is enough to keep you fully hydrated and maintain proper health.

Believe it or not it also helps to give you strength in your workouts at the gym because a well hydrated muscle is a stronger one.

So do your body good and increase your water intake for fast weight loss and overall health.
5. Eat More Protein

Okay, first off I want to get something straight here. I still see no proof that high-protein intake has any type of negative effect on kidney function. Really, if you could find several studies that prove this I may change my mind but until then I’m sticking to what I believe.

I think that the RDA protein requirements are severely underrated. They may be okay for someone who never works out and has a sedentary job but as for a well-trained athlete these requirements just aren’t going to cut it.

If you’re training intensely in the gym, which most people who are serious about losing weight are, then you need enough protein to feed muscle growth.

You see, the protein that you take in is broken down into the building blocks called amino acids which help to repair muscle tissue after intense training.

No other nutrient can do this since both carbohydrates and fats are used as fuel for energy.

Also, both carbohydrates and fats are converted to body fat and protein is not. This also debunks the myth of not eating past six o’clock. As long as you’re eating foods from lean protein sources you can basically eat his late as you want without worry of gaining body fat.

So make sure you getting enough protein from the sources like boneless skinless chicken breasts, fish such as Haddock, Pollock, Salmon, and from lean dairy sources such as nonfat cottage cheese skim milk and also egg whites.
6. Eat Six Small Meals per Day

You need to understand that building your metabolism is like building a fire. If you try building a fire by starting out throwing a huge log in a tiny little match you’ll never get any heat.

This can be compared to your metabolism when you only eat one or two small high calorie fat laden meals every day.

Your metabolism simply comes to a complete halt and fizzles out.

On the other hand you can start with that same tiny match and a little bit of kindling wood and before you know it you have a small fire.

Now to get that fire burning bigger, you need to consistently put more smaller twigs on it and before you know it that little tiny fire turns into a blaze.

This is the way you need to build your metabolism; by consuming small frequent meals throughout the day.

When you start eating high-protein foods mixed in with moderate amounts of low glycemic carbohydrates broken into six small meals per day, your metabolism will be a raging blaze.

Your body then begins to incinerate your belly fat and before you know it you’ll be a lean machine!
7. Weight Train 3 Days per Week

The second biggest mistake that I see people make after not taking in enough calories per day is doing way too much cardio and not hitting the weights.

The bottom line is that lifting weights will boost your metabolism.

As I stated in previous articles, the more muscle mass you have the more calories you going to be able to burn throughout the day.

Also, you’re going to burn a lot more calories per hour lifting weights than you are on any piece of cardio equipment because it requires your body to exert much more energy lifting a weight from point A to point B.

And then you get the after-effect because the more muscle mass that you have more calories you burn doing any activity throughout the day.

Another great benefit to lifting weights is the way your body is going to look. I’ve seen a lot of people who have lost a lot of weight that didn’t train with weights and they are smaller in size but still look flabby.

So be sure to add weight training into your routine at least three days per week and you’ll not only see the effects of losing weight fast, you will also look way better because of the muscle tone that you have.
8. Keep Your Workouts Under an Hour

Okay, now that you know how important weight training is in your quest for losing weight, it’s also just as important to know how long you should be weight training for each workout.

If your workouts are too long, this will lead to what’s called over-training where your body can’t recover and your muscles actually shrink instead of get bigger.

Your body will also store fat for protection too.

So to keep over-training and fat gain at bay, you must keep your workouts under an hour. There have actually been studies done that prove this point and this is one tip that I have always implemented with a great amount of success.
9. Rotate Your Cardio Exercises

Since the body adapts so easily to stress it is important that you rotate the type of cardio exercises that you do every day.

This will help you to continue to burn fat and lose those pounds over a longer period of time.

It also helps up to break the monotony of doing the same cardio machine or workout every time.

You can rotate your cardio in a couple of different ways. You can either rotate your exercises every week or actually every time you do cardio.

So if one day you walk on the treadmill for an hour, the next day you’ll use the elliptical instead.

So keep it fresh and try something different to keep your metabolism stoked in your body burning fat.
10. Reward Yourself for Losing Weight Fast!

Okay I am going to end this article here with a very important point that you should always follow. Make sure you set yourself tiny milestones along the path of your weight loss journey and then each time that you cross that point give yourself a little reward for a job well done.

A lot of people think that they’re rewarding themselves by going out and binging on their favorite junk food or at their favorite restaurant.

I would highly advise against this for two reasons.

First off because you’re sabotaging the hard work that you just accomplished and second, because you’re sending a negative message to your brain that says “junk food is a good thing” since you are being rewarded with it.

Instead, I would highly suggest that once you pass one of your mile markers, go buy yourself some new clothes or maybe pamper yourself with a day at the spa.

Just do something healthy that’s actually rewarding yourself for a job well done. This little suggestion can have a huge positive impact on your weight loss journey.

So there you have it, 10 ways to catapult yourself ahead on your weight loss journey. Now all you have to do is take some action and implement my 10 tips and start losing weight fast!

Eat Right - Seven Secrets to Amazing Health

It is possible to be fit and healthy ... if you will just eat right.

Eating is a fun, life-giving necessity. Dieting is a sure-fire way to be fat, frumpy and grumpy.

In a nutshell, the seven secrets are:

THE FIRST SECRET: Avoid White Processed Sugar. Sugar has found its way into just about every food we eat, but do your best to avoid it and your health, fitness and vitality levels will dramatically improve.

THE SECOND SECRET: Avoid Processed White Flour. Modern refined flour is a major reason why Western populations have expanding waistlines.

THE THIRD SECRET: Eat the right fats, and plenty of them. Your body needs quality fats to perform at its best. Eat a diet rich in nutrient-dense fats, coconut oil, eggs, nuts, avocados and butter - and put the margarine and low-fat products in the trash.

THE FOURTH SECRET: Eat only Fruit before Midday. This will allow your body to cleanse, nourish, energise and repair itself on a daily basis.

THE FIFTH SECRET: Salads for Lunch, Vegetables for Dinner. Eat the right foods at the right time. Vegetables protect against cancer, and eating them nightly with butter will ensure you wake up feeling refreshed and revitalised.

THE SIXTH SECRET: Avoid Pasteurised Dairy, Especially Milk. If you really like milk, then drink it but don't be fooled into believing it is necessary for calcium - drink as little as possible - not so bad if you can get the un-pasteurised and un-homogenised variety.

THE SEVENTH SECRET: Live well hydrated. Every system and cell in your body requires water to function optimally, so drink plenty and be amazed at the results.

In the last twenty-five years we have seen more change in Western eating habits than in the last thousand. Every day we see increasing numbers of people being diagnosed with cancer, diabetes and a whole array of completely preventable disease - the results of half a century of nutritional abuse.

If you REALLY want to take control of your life, be healthier, slimmer and more energetic you need to read Matthew Riddell's very cleverly written book -"Eat Right without the Marketing Hype" in which he describes in more detail "The Seven Secrets to Amazing Health".

We all want to experience 'amazing' health and wellness and we will all benefit from being slim and fit. I am convinced that if we make the right nutrition choices and sensible lifestyle decisions it will help us to travel along the path of wellness.

Ponder over the article below which I saw on the Internet - makes you think doesn't it?

Life is not all about living a life for the sake but what really matters is how content and happy you are in your life. Some people are too lucky to have got everything they need without being asked for while there are some who seem not to have enough of anything even when being provided the best of all.

We deal with every kind of situations each and every day and we learn something out of it, though not fruitful, though not susceptible but helpful in the long run. No matter how strongly build you are, how many pushups you do or how many hours you spend in the gym, a single and so simple worry or tension or confusion can get you bizarre. If I would want to keep my body in shape, I will right away start having proper diets, sleep and wake up at proper time, run a mile, swim a yard, do a little exercise and after two months or so I will be physically fit for say. But that doesn’t count my mental fitness or my spiritual life.

We constantly find our self cursing or blaming the self when we are unhappy. We try to recall and rewind everything that might have gone wrong and when we finally realized we are caught in the midst of clouds that why had we ever done that. Humans are unhappy to the fact they are unhappy, so move on. You still have the world to conquer.

Let go of all your miseries, you don’t own it. Let go of all the fear, do not let it control you. In times we are scared to take our risks, the reason being it might be our first time or might be we are scared to lose again. You are the master of your own body, why let it be controlled by some adjective??? Search into your soul and dig out what might have been the reason for your fear, and once you are through it you will be ahead of this adjective called fear. Think of the fear as just one tiny four worded adjective and not a much. Do not run away but face it; who knows it might have been scared of you too??? If you turn your back and walk away, it will go stronger, do not let it happen.

Sometimes our life is so beautiful and full of butterflies that we hardly notice the most important thing that we missed out in our life. Life, as everything in nature, comes in symmetry. The ups in your life in the other part of the symmetrical line are always balanced by the downs in the other half. So do not get fooled by the illusion of your happiness or do not break down when you are having the hardest time. Always keep in mind, as Birbal said, “Even this moment will pass away”.

There are times in our life, almost in everyone’s, when we need to let go off something which is very dear to us. And hardly a one does that, petrified of losing such things. Think of one incident when you are caught in the mud flood and you are tightly holding on to a pole. The currents becoming stronger and you know that the pole will not hold on for long. Suddenly you see a safer place, a safer stair which seems to be holding on very tight. The moment you jump off to that stair, the pole on which you have been holding on get carried away in the fierce current and you are excitingly and fearfully relieve that you let go off that pole. What I am trying to say is that, there are many similar incidents or occurrences in our life that we need to let go off and unless we are placed in the extreme dangerous condition we hardly notice the better facilities that have been kept open for us. Look around, search carefully as if you are finding a tiny needle in that big room rather than scanning and parsing the room in one go. Remember a small tiny hole in your clothes can get worse and ruin it in times. Like they say a stitch in time saves nine.

Never ever compare your life with others, you have no idea what they might have gone through and that you and him don’t share the same journey. Stop thinking too much about the things which you didn’t understand, it’s all right if you don’t know some of the answers you were looking about. And lastly smile because you know you are not the only one that owns the problem, you don’t want a day to be wasted away.
